How To Make Time For Wellness During The Festive Period
3rd December 2019
We understand that December might not be the key time of year that you are focusing on taking care of yourself but we must say (from experience) that burning the candle at both ends and tipping the scales to the “too much prosecco” end leads to feeling that little be under the weather and not ourselves in January. We all know the effort it takes to get through January as it is so give yourself a head start with these top tips to feeling well during the festive period and beyond.
At Our Retreat we believe to feel well and balanced, we don’t just have to focus on fitness and food but on our emotional and spiritually health too. It’s why we take time during retreat like to take long walks in nature, enjoy sound healing and create a safe open space for being to connect and talk.
Of course it’s a luxury on retreat to have so much time to focus on your wellness but even if you’ve only got 5 minutes here some things you can do to reconnect with you…
If you’ve only got 5 minutes
- Make yourself a warm cup of herbal tea
- Light a candle
- Enjoy 5 minutes of mindful breathing
- Write a list of things you are grateful for
- Call a loved one
If you’ve only got 20 minutes
- Go for a walk
- Do a face mask
- Do a meditation
- Soak in a bubble bath
- Do some journalling reflecting on the year and setting goals for the year ahead
If you’ve only got an hour
- Create a vision board
- Read a book
- Take a yoga or pilates class
- Get creative and paint or bake
- Listen to an inspiring podcast
We hope you find some inspiration from these little ideas.
