FAQ

Do I have to be a certain level of fitness and yoga to attend your retreats?

No, we accept all levels and abilities. Attending a retreat is a great way to kickstart your journey to getting fit and healthy. Our trainers are excellent and encouraging and will adapt and modify exercises for all abilities. Do let us know if you are a complete beginner or have any concerns and we will give you the necessary support.

I’m travelling on my own, do many guests also travel solo?

Yes 70% of our guests travel on their own. It’s a really nice way to meet new people, make new friends and feel part of the Our Retreat family. Alternatively you can opt out for some ‘ME” quality time on your own.

Do I have to bring someone to book a twin room?

No, you can share with another solo traveller guest if you wish or if you want a room to yourself, you can book a double.

What does a typical day on retreat look like?

Typically we start the day early with hot water and lemon to hydrate and cleanse the body followed by a morning training session on the beach or yoga class at the villa. We’ll then enjoy a delicious wholesome brunch together before another activity such as Pilates, a walk or hike. We are then back in time for a snack followed by chill time to enjoy peacefully with a good book or enjoying a treatment. We’ll then come together again for another yoga or Pilates class followed by dinner. After dinner they may be a meditation class or chill time by the fire before getting a good night’s sleep. Throughout the week, depending on what retreat you book, we may also enjoy activities like paddle-boarding, kayaking, surfing, horse riding and open air movie nights.

What is the food like and will I be hungry?

The food is AMAZING! We are not a weight loss retreat so therefor there is plenty of delicious nutritionally dense food for you to enjoy – you will not go hungry. We offer two large meals plus juices and snacks a day prepared by our wonderfully skilled handpicked chefs. The meals are mainly plant based but we also offer fish and chicken on the overseas retreats. We cater for all dietary requirements so please let us know if you have any before you travel.

Is there alcohol served on your retreats

We do not serve alcohol on our UK weekend retreats but we offer an optional glass of wine with dinner towards the end of the week on our overseas retreats.

Your overseas retreats look very active, do I have to do all the activities?

No, everything is optional but we recommend you join in the fun and try new things.

Is there much downtime on your retreats?

Yes, there’s plenty of time to chill in a quiet spot by the pool or by the fire. You can take as much or as little downtime as you like.

What’s included in the price?

All food, accommodation, activities, classes and transfers are included in the price. The only thing that isn’t included is your flights and treatments – and on the Chamonix retreats your ski hire and lift pass.

Are Flights included?

No flights are not included but we are more than happy to help and advise on which flights to book.

Are yoga mats provided?

Yes mats are provided on all our retreats but you are welcome you to bring your own mat if you wish.

Do I have to pay everything up front?

We require a 30% deposit on booking and the remaining 70% 10 weeks before your retreat, or alternatively we can help set up a payment plan for you.
